2009 Harold H. Maynard Award

Peter C. Verhoef and Peter S.H. Leeflang, both of the University of Groningen, have been selected as the recipients of the 2009 Harold H. Maynard Award for their article “Understanding the Marketing Department’s Influence Within the Firm” which appeared in the Journal of Marketing in March 2009. The article was chosen for its significant contribution to marketing theory and thought. The award will be presented annually at the AMA Winter Marketing Educators’ Conference in February 2010.

An early version of this paper was released as MSI Report No. 08-104, “Getting Marketing Back in the Boardroom: Understanding the Drivers of Marketing’s Influence within the Firm.”
