How my research impacts research practice

My research has focused on the development of statistical models to understand customer behavior in regards to customer relationship management and social media analytics. Viewing data as signals emitted by customers, I leverage available data sources to predict relevant outcomes such as customer acquisition and retention, and the spread of social media content. Such tools can be used to support resource allocation decisions such as the investments in marketing efforts or incorporation of novel data assets.
