The Cure Effect: Individuals Demand Universal Access for Health Treatments that Claim to Eliminate Disease Symptoms

Several online surveys with over 2500 participants reveal consumer expectations for pricing of and access to drugs and therapies that either “cure” or mitigate a disease condition.  Results demonstrate a “cure effect” where the perceived value to society of a cure leads consumers to want lower prices that allow for universal access.
